Substanțele active din Polygonum cuspidatum trec prin bariera hematoencefalică și afectează sistemul nervos central unde exercită acțiuni împotriva bacteriilor Borrelia. Planta protejează în mod specific creierul de leziunile inflamatorii, endotoxinele microbiene și infecțiile bacteriene. Knotweedul japonez este folosit printre altele în tratamentul neuroborreliilor.

The taste differs somewhat from the one I was used to, but I mix it with some fruit juice, and it\'s quite OK : I got used to it fairly quickly. As I take big quantities of this, I was looking for a good price, and I\'m glad I finally found it !!\r\nThe reception was OK as well (though the paperbag seems to leak a bit, but it doen t matter too much !)\r\nI will definitely re-order when this one is over
